What is Pick 4?
Pick 4 is a draw game where you try to pick one or two sets of four-digit numbers that match the winning numbers drawn to win a prize.

What is a Play Type?
The Play Type is the way you choose to play your numbers and determines the amount you can win. When purchasing a ticket, you will choose your numbers first then choose your Play Type.

You can choose from 12 Play Types:
- Straight – Select four numbers. They must match the winning numbers in the exact order.
- Box 4-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in any order, and three of the four numbers selected are the same.
- Box 6-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in any order, and two pairs of the numbers selected are the same.
- Box 12-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in any order, and two of the four numbers selected are the same.
- Box 24-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in any order, and two of the four numbers selected are different.
- Straight/Box 4-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order or in any order, and three of the four numbers selected are the same.
- Straight/Box 6-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order or in any order, and two pairs of the numbers selected are the same.
- Straight/Box 12-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order or in any order, and two of the four numbers selected are the same.
- Straight/Box 24-Way – All four of your selected numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order or in any order, and all four numbers selected are different.
- Front Pair – Select any four numbers. The first two numbers selected match the winning numbers in the exact order.
- Middle Pair – Select any four numbers. The middle two numbers selected match the winning numbers in the exact order.
- Back Pair – Select any four numbers. The last two numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order.

Find an Arizona Lottery retailer. Pick 4 tickets costs $1 per game (1-play and 2-play) and are available for purchase at the counter of Arizona Lottery retailers and at Arizona Lottery vending machines. Tickets cannot be purchased online.
How to Choose Your Numbers
There are two ways to choose numbers:
To let the computer select the numbers for you, choose a Quick Pick on the vending machine or tell the cashier you want a Quick Pick at the time of your purchase.
To choose your own numbers, fill out a selection slip or tell the cashier. Pick one or two sets of four-digit numbers (0000 – 9999)*.

When are Pick 4 drawings held?
Drawings are held twice a day, midday and evening, Monday through Sunday.
How often can I play my numbers?
You can play your numbers for up to 12 consecutive drawing dates on the same ticket. Just tell the cashier at the time of your purchase or mark the Number of Draws box on your selection slip.
How long do I have to claim a prize?
For draw game tickets, 180 days from the date of the draw. Once a ticket has expired, it cannot be redeemed even if it is a winner.
*Sales stop for midday draws at 11:59 AM Arizona time, and for evening draws at 6:59 PM Arizona time.
**Lottery numbers broadcasted on television or radio, published on the Arizona State Lottery website, or published and/or communicated by other means does not constitute an official representation of the actual winning lottery numbers. The Arizona State Lottery official audited records of numbers drawn will determine the winning numbers for any draw. A draw game prize must be claimed within 180 days of a drawing.
On occasion, certain Pick 3 and Pick 4 sets of numbers may "sell out" and cannot be purchased. Unlike jackpot games (e.g., Powerball, Mega Millions) where winners share the top prize, daily games pay out an established fixed prize to every single winning ticket. To ensure the Arizona Lottery can fulfill its prize obligations, a maximum sales limit is established for every set of numbers. For each daily draw for the Pick 3 and Pick 4, once a specific set of numbers reaches its sales limit, no further tickets for that specific set of numbers will be sold for that day's drawing.
All sales are final. Drawing game tickets cannot be voided.
