How to Claim Arizona Lottery Prizes

The Arizona Lottery loves celebrating our players and their wins. Once you've claimed your prize, submit your winning story for a chance to be featured.

SUBMIT BY MAIL

For Prizes $1 - $599

Completely fill out the back of your ticket in legible handwriting. Send your signed winning lottery ticket to the mailing address below. Keep a copy of all items, including the front and back of the ticket, for your records.

For Prizes of $600+

Send your completed Winner Claim Form (available in English or Spanish), your signed winning lottery ticket, and a copy of your government-issued ID (which includes your mailing address and signature) to the mailing address below. Keep a copy of all items, including the front and back of the ticket, for your records.

All Arizona Lottery retailers will redeem prizes up to $100 and may redeem prizes up to $599. Find a Retailer

All Arizona Lottery vending machines* will redeem prizes up to $300 issued as a machine credit to be used immediately within the same transaction to purchase Arizona Lottery tickets. For more information, view our Vending Machine FAQs near the bottom of the page.

*Excludes Instant Tab vending machines and Instant Tab winnings.

For Prizes of $600+

1. Sign the back of your ticket.

2. Fill out a Winner Claim Form. Download Winner Claim Form (available in English or Spanish) or pick up a Winner Claim Form at an Arizona Lottery office.

3. Deliver your completed Winner Claim Form, your signed winning lottery ticket, and your government-issued ID to tan Arizona Lottery office.

Redeeming at Vending Machines - FAQs

Q: Can I redeem any winning Arizona Lottery ticket at a vending machine?
A: No, vending machines are designed to redeem winning tickets valued at $300 or less.

Q: What happens when I scan a winning ticket worth $300 or less at a vending machine?
A: The machine will display a message informing you of your winning amount and give you two choices: redeem the winnings as machine credit or retain your ticket to redeem later at a retail location.

Q: If I choose to redeem my winning ticket at the vending machine, how will I receive my winnings?
A: All winnings redeemed at a vending machine are issued as machine credit directly on the machine.

Q: What can I do with the machine credit?
A: The machine credit can be used immediately to purchase Arizona Lottery tickets from the same vending machine. 

Q: Do I have to use all of the machine credit in one transaction?
A: Yes, all machine credit must be used in a single transaction to purchase lottery tickets.

Q: What happens if I don't use the full amount of the machine credit?
A: Any remaining machine credit after your purchase will not be returned as cash or a credit voucher. Please select additional tickets to fulfill the remaining credit. 

Q: Can I get cash for my winning ticket at a vending machine?
A: No, vending machines do not dispense cash for winning tickets.

Q: Can I get a voucher for any remaining balance on the vending machine?
A: No, vending machines do not issue credit vouchers for any unused machine credit.

Q: What should I do to ensure I use my full machine credit?
A: Before completing your transaction, double-check your machine credit balance and select enough tickets to use the full amount.

Q: What happens after I purchase tickets with my machine credit and the balance is zero?
A: Your transaction is complete, and your newly purchased tickets will be dispensed.

Q: Can I redeem multiple tickets at once?
A: Yes, you can redeem multiple tickets as long as they are under $300 each, though the machine will not allow you to exceed $599 in machine credit at any given time.

Q: What if my winning ticket is worth more than $300?
A: Winning tickets over $300 must be redeemed at an authorized Arizona Lottery retailer counter or by following the instructions on the back of the ticket.

Submit by Mail

The Arizona Lottery encourages players to submit winning tickets via US Mail. A dropbox has been installed at the Phoenix location if you prefer to drop off your claim at our office.

An external walk-up window is available for anyone who does not wish to come inside.
