PHOENIX (August 12, 2019) – On July 29, the Arizona Lottery, in conjunction with POWERBALL®, launches the First POWERBALL Millionaire of the YearSM second-chance prize promotion in which 25 of Arizona’s Powerball players will win a trip to celebrate New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York City along with a chance to become the first POWERBALL millionaire of 2020!
POWERBALL tickets purchased between July 29 and September 8, 2019, may count toward entry in the promotion. Country artist Jessie James Decker will reveal the First POWERBALL Millionaire of the Year on January 1, 2020, just after midnight, during ABC’s live broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

The Arizona Lottery will send 25 winners and their guests to New York City this New Year's Eve to attend an exclusive POWERBALL party in Times Square. Each trip prize winner will also be eligible to win $1 million. Here’s how it works:
Players can enter eligible POWERBALL tickets through their Arizona Lottery Players Club account at AZPlayersClub.com. Players will receive one entry for each dollar spent on their ticket and can multiply their number of entries up to 10 times by adding Power Play® to their ticket for an additional $1. Eligible Powerball tickets are tickets produced and entered from July 29 through September 8, 2019.
More than 300 winners from 25 participating jurisdictions including Arizona will head to New York City in late December to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime trip experience, including the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and holiday cruise on the Hudson River with dinner and entertainment. The experience also includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and an exclusive New Year's Eve gala at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, featuring live entertainment and prime viewing of the Times Square ball drop. One lucky trip winner will be randomly drawn to win $1 million.
