Giving back to the Kingman Community
Kingman AZ— 05/10/2021 — The Arizona Lottery is Giving back to the Mohave County
The Arizona Lottery contacted the food bank last week and made us part of their Gives Back Program. The program will provide $5,000.00 to the food bank for the purchase of food. This money will permit us to purchase at wholesale prices, the large quantities of food needed to assist in ending hunger in our community. Every time you purchase a lottery ticket you are helping us achieve our mission of ending hunger in our community. During the next several months we will purchase food for the 30-50 Mohave County families we feed daily.
“We are always pleased to partner with organizations, like the Kingman Area Food Bank, that are working so hard and doing such a great job helping those of us in our community who need it most,” said Gregg Edgar, Arizona Lottery Executive Director. “As a state agency that benefits a wide variety of people across Arizona, we are proud to do our small part to feed the hungry in Kingman to support our mission to do good in Arizona.”
The food bank provides emergency food boxes to anyone who resides within the County on a once a month. There is no income requirement and everyone is eligible.
