Arizona Lottery unveils Lotería Grande Scratchers® in partnership
with Desert Botanical Garden
PHOENIX (Aug. 22, 2024) — The Arizona Lottery and Desert Botanical Garden proudly announce a new Lotería Grande Scratchers ticket. This exciting Scratchers game showcases Arizona-themed imagery designed by Desert Botanical Garden for a unique interpretation of the traditional Mexican Lotería game.
In conjunction with this launch, Desert Botanical Garden will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month at its monthly summer Sonoran Sippin’ event on Sept. 20 with prizes and entertainment. The Arizona Lottery will also be participating in the Garden’s signature Lotería Nights events on Oct. 10 and Nov. 14, handing out merchandise and prizes, including the $5 Lotería Grande Scratchers.
“The Lotería Nights experience at the Garden is unrivaled and we are honored to take part in this year’s events,” said Arizona Lottery CEO Alec Thomson. “The Garden’s stunning lotería artwork is also uniquely Arizonan, and we are proud to pay homage to an iconic Mexican pastime and Hispanic culture in this way.”
“We are excited to partner with the Arizona Lottery this year,” said Ken Schutz, The Dr. William Huizingh Executive Director of Desert Botanical Garden. “The Lottery has funded $454 million worth of conservation efforts since 1993, and this partnership represents our shared vision to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month as well as support environmental conservation. We look forward to their continued partnership.”
