Game Integrity Is Not Optional
We recently updated our game rules to prohibit bulk purchases of the popular Fast Play™ line of games, a product that is at higher risk for this kind of activity, especially for games with progressive jackpots. Fast Play is a relatively new offering at the Arizona Lottery and our fastest-growing product category, offering an alternative experience to players on the go. Risking any doubt regarding the fairness of these games, perceived or real, wasn’t an option. That’s why we took a hard look at this important product line and acted quickly with our Commission to update our game rules to allow players equal access to prizes.
These new rules specifically prevent individuals or entities from making excessive purchases to buy up top prizes, ensuring loyal players have opportunities to win while also preventing excessive wagers. For the Arizona Lottery, this decision is straightforward. Safeguarding game integrity is crucial for a fair and enjoyable experience and is essential to fulfilling the Arizona Lottery’s mission of maximizing revenue for Arizona's beneficiaries.
This kind of proactive oversight is how we maintain trust, not just in our games, but in our organization as a whole.
And this is just one example. We routinely conduct internal audits, monitor for unusual activity, and work closely with our retail partners to uphold strong compliance standards across the state. No shortcuts. No exceptions.

Just as important as protecting game integrity is ensuring that players engage in a healthy way. This means offering tools and resources that help players set limits and stay in control. We’ve embedded responsible gaming messages in our digital channels, work with national partners to strengthen our education efforts, and continuously train staff and retailers to recognize warning signs.
