There are a variety of Scratchers games for everyone! Scratchers games are easy to play and instructions are printed right on the ticket! A Scratchers game is played by scratching a layer away from the ticket to reveal a series of numbers or symbols and their corresponding prizes.

Scratchers start at just $1 and some have prizes in the millions!

HOW TO PLAY USING YOUR PHONE

  1. GO to a Scratch & Scan retailer. Scratch & Scan games can be purchased for $5 or $10 depending on which game you choose.

  2. BUY your Scratch & Scan ticket at the checkout of a participating retailer. Upon purchase, your ticket will be activated. Check your receipt to confirm your Scratch & Scan ticket is activated.

  3. SCRATCH the entire play area on your ticket.

  4. SCAN the QR Code on your phone.

  5. PLAY the animated result and see if you’ve won.

  6. If you win, SAVE your redemption barcode to your phone.

  7. REDEEM your winnings at any Arizona Lottery retailer by showing the redemption barcode to the clerk.

Can I get Players Club Points with my Scratch & Scan game card?

No. Scratch & Scan game cards are not eligible to be entered for Players Club points at this time.

What is meant by “digital reveal”?

The digital reveal is an animated method of displaying the outcome assigned to the game card you purchased. You can choose to view and interact with the animated outcome or skip it. Whichever method you choose, the results will be the same.

How long do I have to claim a prize?

You have 180 days from the announced end of the Scratch & Scan game to claim your prize.

Which devices can I use?

Scratch & Scan game cards are designed to work with iOS 13, 14, 15 and Android 10, 11, 12. Any earlier versions may yield bug issues. Update your phone’s operating system to avoid errors.

Which browsers can I use?

Scratch & Scan game cards are designed to work with the latest browser version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. They will not work on Internet Explorer.

Do I have to reside in Arizona to play a Scratch & Scan game?

No. However, you must purchase a Scratch & Scan ticket from within the boundaries of the state of Arizona.

I won. How do I claim my prize?

To claim a prize of $599 or less, you can take your paper game card or show the digital reveal barcode on your mobile device to an Arizona Lottery retailer with a Lottery terminal. If you save your barcode to your mobile device, it is recommended that you delete it after claiming your prize.

To claim a prize of $600 or more, complete a claim form and sign the back of the winning paper game card. Then, either go to an authorized Arizona Lottery redemption center or send to the Arizona Lottery via mail. For complete details on claiming your prize, see our Winner Brochure.

Do I need to save the paper game card?

If your prize is $599 or less, it is recommended that you keep your paper game card and activation receipt until you redeem the digital barcode and receive your prize from a retailer.

If your prize is $600 or more, you must take or mail the game card to an authorized Arizona Lottery redemption center to receive payment. (link to “how do I claim my prize”)

Do I need to download an app to see my results?

No. Scanning the QR code found on your game card will take you directly to the digital reveal site. Alternatively, you can manually enter the website address into your browser using a desktop computer or other mobile device and then type in the Digital Code shown on your game card. You can also physically bring your game card to an Arizona Lottery Retailer.

What are Apple Wallet and Google Pay*?

Both Apple Wallet and Google Pay are apps that can be used to store information on a mobile device. Selecting either app will allow you to store the digital pass for future retrieval. If you have multiple winning digital passes, it is recommended that you delete them after claiming your prize.

Do I need to have an Apple Wallet or Google Pay account?

No. You can save the digital reveal outcome to your mobile device by selecting the [Download to PDF] option. Doing this will save it to your mobile device.

Do I need to play the digital reveal game to find out if I’m a winner?

No. You have the option to skip the digital game and go directly to the outcome or to bring your physical game card to an Arizona Lottery Retailer with a Lottery terminal.

Can I give my game card to a retailer to find out if I’m a winner?

Yes, Your game card, once purchase and activated, can be scanned by a retailer to reveal your outcome.

Can I scan my game card on a Lottery ticket checker to find out if I’m a winner?

Yes. Your game card, once purchased and activated, can be scanned on a Lottery ticket checker to reveal your outcome.

Can I play the digital reveal game multiple times?

Yes; however, the outcome will always remain the same.

I forgot to save my outcome. Can I access it again?

Yes; scan your game card again and it will produce the same result, which you can then save to your mobile device.

I received an error message after scanning my game card. Who do I contact?

Check the activation receipt you received from the retailer to confirm that your game card was activated. If it was activated, please click here to contact us.

Do I need to keep my activation receipt after purchase?

It is recommended that you keep your activation receipt until you finish revealing the results of your ticket. If you need assistance with viewing your results, that activation receipt will be required for further support.
